Saw this cool vanity plate – BN
LFAN. Couldn’t decide for the longest time what sports team it refers to. If it was WRSFAN, I would think it is a local football team, or if it was BRSFAN, some baseball team might come to mind. Similarly if it was NYYFAN, sure, we get it.
So having run out of brain cells, google result points to a music group, whose “Pinch Me” song I really like.

The song appears to be happy at first, then it leads to a melancholic or maybe nostalgic mood. 2 hours later I found myself listening to my childhood favorite songs, making friends in facebook, listening to my own recordings (and not much liking them
…
I like the humorous parts in it. Did you notice thumbs turning down in seconds 49 to 53, very well thought !

Yes, the song is a great mix of different emotions. Fatalism as in – “I could leave but I’ll just stay – all my stuff’s here anyway.” Melancholy shows up clearly in other lines – “If I packed a car and leave this town, who will notice that I’m not around?” Simple contented happiness and pure existentialism shows up in the stanza beginning with “It’s the perfect time of day.”
A subtle reference to Chief Bromden is in line “With a guy my size it could take a while just to figure out what all this is for.”
Perhaps it can be considered a compendium of different perspectives on the meaning of life.
