Nano Jaguar

In a bid to make a quick entry into the US, Ratan Tata, the chairman of India’s largest conglomerate today announced plans to launch a new vehicle in the within 2009. After Tata’s aquisition of Jaguar, and the extremely successful launch of Tata Nano – the world’s cheapest car – in India, the next logical step was to put these two achievements together. That has turned out to be more than wishful thinking, as the soft-spoken chairman presented his plans to launch Nano Jaguar earlier today.

The Nano Jaguar, unlike the Tata Nano, is a front-engined, four-passenger city car aimed primarily at the western market. The sales of the car will begin in July 2010, with a starting price of $26,000.
